Deputies have made fresh arrests in connection with a car theft investigation in Laurens County.

Laurens County Sheriff Don Reynolds said a pursue involving a suspicious vehicle ended in a crash along Geddy Road in Gray Court on the morning of June 8.

Ricky Jay Owens Jr., (a.k.a.-RJ) of sixteen Mountain View Dr., Gray Court, SC, has been charged with Grand Larceny.

Robert Paul Maes, of five hundred eleven Miracle Drive, Laurens, SC, has been charged with Grand Larceny, Possession/Receiving Stolen Goods, Pointing and Presenting a Firearm, Unlawful carrying of a Firearm, Malicious Harm to Property, Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor and Possession of Methamphetamine.

Deputies said they also arrested two juveniles, ages fifteen and 16. They were transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

From the arrests, deputies said they were able to recover a two thousand ten Chevrolet Impala, a one thousand nine hundred ninety five Ford F-150 pickup truck stolen from Simpsonville, a two thousand sixteen Chevrolet Silverado, a two thousand eleven Ford F-150 pickup truck, a two thousand Mercury Grand Marquis stolen from Simpsonville and a two thousand four Suzuki F4 motorcycle.

All suspects, excluding the juveniles, were being held at the Laurens County Johnson Detention Center.

On June 14, deputies said they made more arrests in connection with the investigation. Deputies said the following arrests are “believed to be related to burglaries and a car theft ring in the northern part of Laurens County:

  • Chad Dale Martin Jr. of one hundred ten Holland Street, Simpsonville, SC has been charged with (Three) Counts of Possession/Receiving Stolen Goods, Value $Ten,000 or More.
  • Casey Brooke Milosek, four hundred ninety one Thompson Road, Fountain Inn SC, has been charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession/Receiving Stolen Goods, Criminal Conspiracy and Obstructing Justice.
  • William Elbert Blackwell Jr.,744 Chapman Road, Fountain Inn, SC, has been charged with (Three) Counts of Possession/Receiving Stolen Goods, and Operating a chop shop.

On June 15, deputies arrested Bryan Eugene Dilleshaw for possession of stolen goods. On Friday, Dartagnan Pruitt and Kayla Dawn Armstrong were arrested and transported to the Laurens County Detention Center.
