Fresh models and outlandish concept cars are being ready to wow crowds at the Frankfurt Motor Showcase next month.

The doors to the sixty seven th IAA International Motor Display open to petrolheads on September 16-24 with a raft of arousing releases due on demonstrate stands.

The fresh six Series Gran Turismo could headline BMWs stand alongside the fire-breathing M5 super saloon.

The BMW X3 will be on display for the very first time while a seven-seat X7 concept is expected.

A drop-top version of the all-electric i8 could break cover while BMW has even hinted an i3S could be shown – a hot hatch version of the i3.

Hyundai

Hyundai’s very first venture into the hot hatch market will be given an outing in Frankfurt.

The i30 N – a rival for the SEAT Leon Cupra – has been seen out on the track testing but it’ll be given a public showcasing.

Home firms like Audi, BMW, Mercedes and Volkswagen will have phat public debuts for fresh models.

And there’s also slew of confirmed interest for fans of brands like Jaguar, Hyundai, Kia and Renault.

Like any motor showcase there will be a fair share of surprises including brand fresh models and wild concept cars.

The Frankfurt Motor Showcase is one of the fattest dates in the motoring calendar however some car makers won’t be present.

Peugeot, Nissan, Fiat, Alfa Romeo and Jeep are all expected to stay away.

So what do we know so far about what will be on display in Frankfurt.

The luxury Audi A8 limousine will get its public debut with crowds able to get arms on with the stunning fresh technology and autonomous systems.

A fresh RS4 Avant could be exposed, too, while the A7 – a smaller, coupe version of the A8 could be unveiled.

The fresh six Series Gran Turismo could headline BMWs stand alongside the fire-breathing M5 super saloon.

The BMW X3 will be on display for the very first time while a seven-seat X7 concept is expected.

A drop-top version of the all-electric i8 could break cover while BMW has even hinted an i3S could be shown – a hot hatch version of the i3.

Hyundai

Hyundai’s very first venture into the hot hatch market will be given an outing in Frankfurt.

The i30 N – a rival for the SEAT Leon Cupra – has been seen out on the track testing but it’ll be given a public displaying.

The fresh petite Hyundai Kona SUV will also be on the stand.

Jaguar

The British brand resumes to go from strength-to-strength and the Jaguar E-Pace is the latest car set to storm the sales charts.

It was unveiled at a glitzy bash earlier this month and even broke a Guinness World Record for its barrel roll.

But Frankfurt will be the very first time we get up close and private with the model.

Mercedes

Expect Mercedes’ hypercar to steal the demonstrate. The Aston Martin Valkyrie rival is simply known as Project One so far but it’s set for sale next year.

An electrified future may be displayed too alongside the brand fresh Mercedes X-Class which was unveiled this month.

Volkswagen

Another home manufacturer exposing latest models will be Volkswagen.

The fresh VW Polo will be displayed alongside a much-anticipated hot hatch version.

Having suffered a torrid two years due to diesel problems there’s a chance VW may demonstrate off more of its electrified future, too.
