Honda WR-V India launch on March 16; Top five things to know
After rolling out two thousand seventeen Honda City facelift sedan in the country last month, Honda Car India is yet again gearing up to launch all fresh product Honda WRV on sixteen th March in Delhi followed by Mumbai launch on March 17. Based on the same platform as that of Honda Jazz, Honda WR-V will be Japanese car maker s 2nd product of the year after Honda City facelift. We earlier also reported that the car maker has already embarked taking pre-orders for the crossover with down payment of INR 21,000. The upcoming crossover not only shares platform with Honda Jazz but also drivetrain, several figure panels and interior sets. The car maker intends to tap on the crossover segment with its upcoming product which will take on the rivals such as Hyundai i20 Active, Fiat Avventura, Volkswagen Cross Polo and the likes. Honda WR-V Front Profile
1. As we mentioned that it is based on the same platform as that of Honda Jazz but the WR-V crossover is longer and taller than its hatchback counterpart yet falls in the sub-4m bracket. Dimensionally, the crossover will carry a length of 3999mm, 1734mm of width, 1601mm of height along with wheelbase and ground clearance of 2555mm and 188mm respectively. To be introduced as a premium product from the car maker, it will be the cheapest suggesting in the domestic market to sport a sunroof which is expected to be slotted in the range of INR seven lakh – INR ten lakh (ex-showroom).
Two. The car maker has considerably worked on the front fascia with significantly tweaked rear section that gets freshly designed tailgate, fresh tail lamps and rear bumpers. Three. On the inwards, the fresh Honda WR-V crossover will sport familiar interior space with some added kit as well as revised surfaces such as fresh seat fabric, front centre arm rest and slender gear knob. Moreover, the car will also be suggested with an option of two upholstery colours.
Four. The fresh Honda WR-V crossover will be suggested with a choice of petrol and diesel engine options 1.2-litre 4-cylinder, SOHC, i-VTEC petrol and 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder, DOHC, i-DTEC diesel.
