A 45-year-old man and two children; a nine-year-old boy and a one-year-old woman, were killed as a result of a crash on the Bruce Hwy about 11.20am Sunday morning.
The three victims were travelling north at the time of the accident.
Their car collided with a truck travelling in the opposite direction.
The Rockhampton truck driver was taken to Gympie Hospital with a violated nose and other injuries.

4PM: POLICE have confirmed one person has died as a result of this morning’s horror crash near Gunalda about 5km north of Curra.
The crash, which involved a car and truck, occurred on the spread of the Bruce Highway inbetween Tiaro and Gympie about 11.20am.
The car was travelling north when it collided with a truck travelling south.
The car burst into flame on influence.
One person, who was travelling in the car, died at the scene while serious concerns are held for the two other car passengers.

UPDATE Ten.20AM TUESDAY: THE Queensland Police Service confirmed the three victims killed in the horrific crash at Gunalda were from Brisbane.
A 45-year-old man and two children; a nine-year-old boy and a one-year-old damsel, were killed as a result of a crash on the Bruce Hwy about 11.20am Sunday morning.
The three victims were travelling north at the time of the accident.
Their car collided with a truck travelling in the opposite direction.
The Rockhampton truck driver was taken to Gympie Hospital with a cracked nose and other injuries.
Investigations are continuing into the cause of the crash.
UPDATE MONDAY 9AM: Investigations into what caused a crash that claimed the lives of three people, including two youthful children, are ongoing.
A spokesman from Queensland Police Media said there was presently no information available about where the three people, including a 45-year-old man, a 9-year-old boy and a 1-year-old damsel, were from.
He said all three victims were travelling in the same car and were known to each other.
Investigations are continuing.
