Fresh spy shots of Renault Kaptur expose interior details; India launch in Q3 2017
Just a month after the Renault Kaptur was last spotted in India, the under-test compact SUV was seen once more. A duo of test models of the Kaptur were spotted on the scenic roads of Ooty, Tamil Nadu. Presently undergoing its round of road tests, the Renault Kaptur will likely launch in India in the third quarter of 2017, taking on the Mahindra XUV500 and, to some extent, the Hyundai Tucson. The car will likely be placed above the Renault Duster in the French automaker s Indian stable, with a likely pricing of INR 15-20 lakh, given its competition at the moment.

The Renault Kaptur uses the same B0/Logan platform as the Renault Duster, with a wheelbase of Two,673 mm and length of Four,333 mm. The SUV spreads 1,813 mm broad and rails 1,613 mm tall, with a two hundred four mm ground clearance. Inwards, it offers up to 1,200 litres of storage space with the rear seats down, but this drops to just three hundred eighty seven litres with the seats up. The Indian version of the Renault Kaptur is larger than what Renault offers in Europe, and uses the less expensive Logan platform rather than the B-platform of the Clio.
