What to Expect at the two thousand seventeen Geneva Motor Showcase

The two thousand seventeen Geneva Motor Showcase is right around the corner and there are many debuts to get excited about.

The halls of the Geneva Motor Showcase are typically packed with luxury and exotic supercars, and this year won’t be any different. Expect to see slew of wild concepts from automakers you’ve never heard of before and interesting electrical cars from all around the globe.

All the major automakers have debuts lined up, and here’s what you can expect once the display doors open to the media on March 7. AutoGuide.com will be reporting live from the display to bring you all the debuts as they happen.

Audi will pull out more RS models at the two thousand seventeen Geneva Motor Display, beginning with the RS5 coupe. The company will also unveil the RS3 Sportback, powered by a Two.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder engine with four hundred horsepower. Unluckily, the Audi RS3 Sportback isn’t heading to the U.S. so our attention will be on the RS5.

BMW isn’t expected to have any surprises, but it has already unveiled the facelifted four Series and the five Series wagon that won’t be heading to the U.S. In addition, the German automaker will display off the BMW i8 Protonic Frozen Black Edition. We’re hoping BMW has something hidden up its sleeves.

Ferrari

It’s the most powerful series production Ferrari model yet and it’s the replacement for the F12Berlinetta. The Italian automaker has already introduced the Ferrari eight hundred twelve Superfast, so there won’t be very many surprises there.

The fresh Ford Fiesta ST has already been introduced, featuring a 1.5-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder engine with around two hundred horsepower and two hundred fourteen pound-feet of torque. We’re excited to take a look at the Fiesta ST up close and, hopefully, we can get the automaker to spill some details on the North American model.

Honda

At an auto demonstrate that is traditionally home to supercars and exotics, one of the more arousing debuts won’t even cost $50,000. The production Honda Civic Type R will ultimately be exposed and we don’t expect very many switches compared to the concept Honda displayed off last year. Once we set our eyes on it, you can bet we’ll be hounding Honda reps to find out when it’ll be available in the U.S.

Lamborghini

Lamborghini has been taunting a xxx Huracan variant that shows up to have set a fresh record at the world famous Nurburgring. Expected to be named the Lamborghini Huracan Performante, we already know there are fairly a few aerodynamic upgrades from the teaser movie above.

Land Rover

Land Rover is expanding its Range Rover lineup with the fresh Velar model. Sporting a coupe SUV figure, the Range Rover Velar is targeting models like the Porsche Macan. McLaren

McLaren will release the replacement for the 650S at the two thousand seventeen Geneva Motor Demonstrate. Expected to be called the McLaren 720S, we already know it will be powered by a Four.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and the British automaker has confirmed it will run the quarter mile in Ten.Trio seconds.

Mercedes-Benz

The fresh E-Class family will be accomplish in Geneva with the debut of the convertible version. Joining the Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet will be the E63 wagon and Mercedes-Maybach G650 Landaulet, a convertible G-Wagen highlighted by Maybach luxury. The company is also set to showcase off a fresh AMG concept, rumored to be the GT4 — a four-door version of the GT sports car. There will also be a few special edition models to check out at the showcase.

Mitsubishi

Mitsubishi is eventually ready to debut a fresh compact SUV and it will be called the Eclipse Cross. As you may know, the Eclipse nameplate was a popular sports coupe sold by Mitsubishi from 1989, while the Cross is brief for crossover. The model will sit under the Outlander once it goes to dealerships.

Pagani

Pagani has already spilled the beans on the wonderfully exquisite Huayra Roadster and it’s presently at the top of our list of must-see cars. We believe it might be the most beautiful convertible supercar ever created, and it makes its very first public appearance at the Geneva demonstrate.

Porsche

Porsche has already announced the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid and the wagon/shooting brake Panamera is also set to debut. There are also rumors that the Cayman GT4 RS will debut, providing Porsche sports car paramours something to get excited about.

Subaru

The second-generation Subaru XV will make its debut in Geneva, railing on the company’s fresh Global Platform that also underpins the fresh Impreza. Look for updated Boxer engines under the rubber hood and slew of high-tech features inwards the cabin.

Toyota

Toyota is displaying off its version of a hot hatch with the fresh Yaris and a GRMN variant, inspired by the World Rallycross race car. The Toyota Yaris GRMN features a 1.8-liter supercharged four-cylinder engine cranking out two hundred five hp and will be a nice competitor to the fresh Ford Fiesta ST that is also debuting in Geneva.

Volkswagen

Volkswagen is eventually substituting the CC with a fresh model called the Arteon. And since the Volkswagen Phaeton no longer exists, the Arteon will be the German automaker’s most expensive sedan suggesting.

Volvo

The cover will be pulled off the all-new two thousand eighteen Volvo XC60 in Geneva and should arrive in the U.S. later this year as a two thousand eighteen model. The Swedish automaker has said the fresh XC60 ushers in the next evolution of Volvo’s interior design and will feature an updated version of the Sensus Connected Touch infotainment system found in the ninety series models.

Supercars

You can bet there’s going to be a lot of supercars making their debut at the two thousand seventeen Geneva Motor Showcase. One notable one will be the Italdesign supercar (seen above), sporting a V10 engine from an Audi R8. We’ll also be keeping our eyes on the Fittipaldi EF7 Vision Gran Turismo and the Zenvo TS1 GT anniversary model, powered by a Five.8-liter twin-supercharged V8 with over 1,150 hp.

Electrified Cars

Along with your fine collection of supercars, expect to see some exotics with electrified powertrains. Nanoflowcell will display off its Quant 48Volt, a prototype of a fresh generation of electrified cars that is capable of going zero to sixty two mph (0-100 km/h) in Two.Four seconds. We will also see Chinese automaker Techrules unveil its GT96 production model after displaying off its turbine-recharging EV in concept form last year. There’s also the fresh Elextra electrical supercar and Vanda Electrics’ Dendrobium.
